Named a leader in the Kentucky women’s community on nonprofit, politics and media issues, Honi Marleen Goldman’s citywide projects have received nationwide commendations from the U.S. Congress, corporate boardrooms and national nonprofit groups.

A former press secretary to a member of the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington D.C., Ms. Goldman is a frequent editorial and feature writer for The Courier Journal, Lexington Herald Leader and other area newspapers. She has field produced for both NBC and CBS networks.

Ms. Goldman regularly gives workshops and is a frequent guest lecturer on acquiring media coverage and advocacy training.

She is the founder and chair of Reproductive Rights for Kentucky, the only federal pro-choice PAC in Kentucky. Ms. Goldman is the Chair of the District Eight Advisory Council and the President of the Upper Highlands Neighborhood Association. And she is the Lights Chair of the Festival of Trees and Lights, which benefits the local Children’s Hospital.

She was the organizer and the Executive Director of VoteNowKY, a two year project and the first nonpartisan GOTV effort in the county that concentrates on those who do not usually vote, Generation Z, Millennials and low turnout precincts.
